IKUBEN

iKuben is a cross-industrial cluster with internationally oriented industrial and technology companies with the main focus in Møre og Romsdal county. The companies come from Rindal in the north to Fosnavåg in the south and to Oslo in the east. The administration is in Molde. iKuben stands for: innovative, international industry.

iKuben has innovation and rapid conversion as distinct focus areas and focuses on helping companies use digital insights to create new products, services and business models. iKuben organizes meeting places for learning and experience exchange between companies, R & D and other competence environments. Through innovation processes, R & D projects, courses and seminars, companies are strengthened within the focus areas of the cluster.

iKuben companies are suppliers of services, components and advanced systems. They often operate in an ETO-based (Engineer-to-Order) basis. Here we find traditional established industrial engines such as Brunvoll, Kleven, Glamox and Prezioso Linjebygg - together with some of the newer cranes and lift / oil services like Axess, Alpa and Axtech, and companies from completely different conversion industries such as the energy company Svorka in Surnadal. We also find examples of companies that have "converted" from the oil industry to the aquaculture industry, such as SHM Solutions, and we have several technology companies in the cluster such as Axbit, El-Watch, CodeIT, Fosnavåg Ocean Academy, Innit and Making View. And, not least, Molde University College and Møreforsking Molde are participating companies and active in the work.

iKuben was awarded Arena status in 2012. The arena program is part of the national cluster program "Norwegian Innovation Clusters" owned by Innovation Norway, Norway's Research Council and SIVA. iKuben extended  its Arena project with two new years in June 2015 and was awarded status as NCE (Norwegian Centre of Expertise) in October 2017.

KLEVEN

Kleven Verft in Ulsteinvik builds large, advanced vessels within several segments. The yard has effective facilities for early equipment and assembly on the slipway. Our modular building method, where modules are assembled on the slipway, gives us more control, quality and improved delivery time. By working with open modules, installation of equipment is safer, faster and easier to control.

Kleven has spent the last years investing in automation and robotization of parts of the hull production, and thus has taken back a major part of the construction process to Norway.

Kleven Verft was ISO certified both within environment and quality in April 2013, making it the first Norwegian shipyard that is environmentally certified.

PIPELIFE

Pipelife Norway is Norway's largest producer and supplier of plastic pipe systems. The Pipelife Group is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of plastic pipes and associated parts. Our piping systems are used for water, sewage, gas, cable protection and electrical installations.
